Black Gathered Lehenga with Printed Border and Jacket

A deeply gathered black skirt, cut full enough to open into a complete circle, kept plain until the hem — where three printed bands run round it in blush, rust and gold, divided by rows of tiny coloured tassels. The choli is black with elbow sleeves, printed in the same blush and gold and edged with pearl drops, and a short open jacket in the matching print goes over it.

All the volume at the hem, all the detail at the top. It moves beautifully, and carries itself without much jewellery.
