Deposit Policy
Our outfits are handcrafted with mirror work, bandhani and delicate embroidery. A refundable security deposit lets us lend them to you with confidence. Here is exactly how it works.
How much is the deposit?
The deposit is shown on every outfit page, in your cart and at checkout, clearly labelled Refundable. Most outfits carry a deposit of ₹1,500.
When is it refunded?
After we collect the outfit and inspect it — within 3 working days. Online payments are refunded to your original payment method; offline payments by UPI or bank transfer. You will receive an update by email and can always see the status on your booking page.
What is never deducted
- Normal creasing and wear from dancing.
- Light dust from the Garba ground.
- Marks that come out with regular professional cleaning.
- A few loose threads or a loose mirror that is easily re-stitched.
When a deduction may apply
Only for clearly defined issues, and only up to the actual cost of repair, cleaning or replacement — never more than the deposit:
- Severe damage such as large tears or burns.
- Permanent stains that do not come out with professional cleaning.
- Missing accessories that were included (for example a dupatta).
- The outfit not being returned.
- Unauthorised alterations — cutting, stitching or permanently decorating the outfit.
- Significant damage beyond normal wear.
- Late return without telling us, charged at the outfit’s daily rate for the extra days.
- Other clear breaches of the rental terms.
How deductions are decided
If anything needs a deduction, we record what we found, explain it to you in writing and share photos on request. If you disagree, message us on WhatsApp — we will always talk it through.
